Moe Contracting Services is involved with the new construction of several prominent and landmark structures including the Americana at Brand in Glendale, California, Staples Center, Cal State LA’s new science building, Cal State Northridge’s new science building, Los Robles Medical Center Hospital, and many other critical needs facilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of estimator is responsible for calculating the cost of material, labor, equipment, and ultimately securing new plumbing projects that are out for bid. As an estimator, it is your role to work efficiently and under the guidance of the senior estimator. Moe Contracting Services is looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work in a fast-paced environment and wants to advance their career working for a great company that will invest in its employees.
DUTIES
- Review specifications, drawings, addenda’s and schedules
- Provide a detailed and thorough list of plumbing materials required in project
- Calculate cost of materials to purchase and hours required for project
- Provide proposal scope letters, bid forms, and bond/insurance forms as required
- Attend job walks, pre-bid and post-bid meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma required, college graduate in related field preferred
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Previous experience with estimating software and procedures
- Perform well under pressure and under tight bid deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team atmosphere as well as individually
